Determined by: Joseba Castillo (In Virtual Biodiversity: http://www.biodiversidadvirtual.org/reptiles/ )

Details Species: ( extracted http://navalmanzano.blogspot.com and http://www.fungipedia.es) . Is a mushroom of the Ascomycetes group of simple identification, primarily for their small to medium size, about 5 inches tall, but mostly by their morphology, habitat and fruiting season.

Account with a foot or so thick in proportion to the hat, smooth, totally hollow and white color, hence the leucopus. The hat is very distinctive hand, has a lobed shape known as mycological slang Saddle, and somewhat reminiscent of this instrument, is also somewhat pubescent, dark brown almost black on the outside and white on inside.

In terms of habitat and fruiting season we say it is a typical mushroom poplar (Populus sp.) And to a lesser extent riparian forests, which makes its appearance in the spring.

Despite its limited and somewhat chewy meat in foot, is the highest Helvella culinary tradition, yet we must not forget that oil is toxic in all of its congeners, and therefore must be pre-cook. It seems to Helvella sulcata, which has the foot with ribs well marked, and especially the Helvella atra, which has the foot of gray to black.

Thanks: Thank Hair Nacho identifying the species and the basic data of the kind provided, as well as the transfer of the picture. Joseba Castillo and determination. Digital Bibliography
