  Details Species:  (extracted from http://  www.wikipedia.es/ ) The vanesa the thistle is a large butterfly (5 to 9 cm) characterized by white and black corners mainly orange wings with black dots. The vanesa from thistles is migrates, the adults leave to spend the coldest months in North Africa. It can be confused with Vanessa atalanta  . A butterfly is fairly common in the Iberian Peninsula.
