Details Species: (extracted from http : / / www.wikipedia.es/ ) is found in almost all of Europe and parts of Asia Minor and in North Africa. Adult stage corresponds to the time from mid-April to mid July, although due to the wide geographic distribution of this butterfly period of their presence can vary greatly from place to place.

It stains alternating yellow, orange, brown and black background with a jagged white on the bottom and a series of compartments dotted, horizontally, on the hind wings. The back of her wings presents designs that allow them to be confused with the surrounding bark and leaves, as part of a strategy of crypsis to avoid predation, featuring yellow and black tones without the presence of silver staining.
