I was reading the online newspaper
20minutes
above without paying much attention, and have gathered a few words on the same line:
Graffiti, sustainable, Endesa, renewable, Zaragoza ...
Curious and somewhat misplaced, I have clicked and:
Over 200 employees of Endesa have drawn today at the Zaragoza Trade Fair of the world's largest graffiti painting on canvas, with dimensions of 652 meters wide 1.80 high and has already entered the Guinness Book of Records.
Workers have taken over four hours to paint this mural, decorated with motifs related to sustainability, renewable energy and water themes of the Expo, which Endesa is a sponsor.
The workers, held in Zaragoza the company's annual convention, had the help of a dozen graffiti artists, they advised on the choice of colors and in the development of the mural.
Then, using the labels on the news, looking for more news about graffiti, thinking to see what I have in this legal graffiti guiness, and read:
Some 240 painted are cleaned every day in Zaragoza. The City invests 1,202,158.52 per year on this service, so each graffiti cleanup costs around 16 euros. More info here
Also: here.
O: A Barcelona judge has imposed two years' imprisonment and a fine of 2,400 euros to a young man painting graffiti on several subway stations the Catalan capital in 2005. The convicted person also must compensate with 981 euros to the municipal corporation for any damage. Hunted here
What we conclude from all this?
What if the theme of water, sustainability, renewable energy, environment, etc, ... "Anything goes?
Expo is coming, is coming ...
